Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

i am a key contributor to dug development and supply and supporting scientists and clinicians in the areas of medicine discovery, design, and analysis of clinical trials. Key responsibilities include advising on trial design, providing statistical analysis, and understanding statistical methodology.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

whilst I was accountable for certain parts of a project support and help were always available if I needed to help to support me with my responsibilities. some of my responsibilities included redesigning webpages and others would include assisting in trial design.

I was provided with excellent support during my placement not only from GSK but also my University through my placement Tutor. I would meet regularly with my Line manager as well as key stakeholders to support me with my wellbeing and project work.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Company culture and general atmosphere were positive, the company values were clear but supportive of its workers through performance with choice. I found everyone I interacted with at GSK very friendly.
