Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Daily tasks in my team involved conducting market research and determining comparable properties to aid the valuation of certain properties.
It involved researching online to gain as much information as possible about a certain site or property to then write a report, from which the information is then sent off to the rest of the team to a chartered surveyor and compared with historical figures or precedents to get a final valuation value.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Amazing people to work with, and quality people with quality insights. However it was a bit of a wake up call. Although the environment was very friendly and welcoming, career progression was slower than what I had in mind and slower than what I had wanted.

I have mostly improved upon my market research skills and brushed up on using Excel, and have learned about how the valuations system works at this company and the workflow of completing a valuation.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Having worked at this company before I would say the previous team I've worked in was certainly a lot less fixed and close minded. I would say my team is very traditional when it comes to getting things done and does not welcome new ideas as much as my old team.
Everything seemed casual but actually people take things extremely seriously. People are extremely casual until you make a mistake.

Just go for it. It may not be the most fun company to work for, depending on the team, but you will definitely learn a lot.
