Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I am involved in a few projects to experience the various aspects of HR whilst gaining skills and experiences. I am also leading and over-seeing a team and its various activities developing confidence and project management skills. It provides a varied and unique way to experience the HR function.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

A large responsibility in many projects, with continuous support and check-ins to ensure I felt comfortable and happy.

General skills in SharePoint, Outlook and other Microsoft applications. Gaining knowledge and understanding of HR terminology, acronyms and processes. Developed confidence and project management skills.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone I met has been encouraging and supportive, ensuring introductions and offering a conversation or call if I needed support. Everyone embraces the culture and has been part of the company a long time demonstrating the great culture.
