Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
The role involves cooperation with the European GTM team, as well as sales and marketing teams, and partners themselves. The role will involve providing proactive support for European marketing campaigns, vertical marketing strategy & the European channel program. The role will also involve working closely with the regional Partner Account Managers and Regional Marketing Managers to ensure successful execution of campaigns and programs at a regional level.
A creative eye will be required, for the creation of social posts, and informative and creative emails and campaigns to be sent from the Partner Portal. You will also have a chance to influence the overall look and feel of end user creative campaigns. There will be also a substantial element of reporting and analytics on the European campaign & partner program statistics.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, a couple months in I was given responsibility over whole events and campaigns. I also felt I could always throw in suggestions and ideas and see them followed through with the team and the company.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
A lot of support. My manager and I had weekly catch ups [as we were in different regions] and was always there to support. We were also given a lot of training both internal and external for the placement students to be fully prepared for the role.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was very nice. My role is a bit unique as I work for the European regions but am based in the UK. However, the UK permanent staff were always kind to me and helped if I needed support.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
It was very nice. I felt like I had a lot of flexibility with my role and a lot of freedom for what I wanted to do. I gained a lot of transferable skills and I never felt as if I was 'just an intern'. My coworkers were always kind and patient. I also believe I had lots of opportunities that I wouldn't have gotten in another organisation.
