Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I assist the sales team in day to day tasks. I create and manage weekly sales reports, sending them to members of the team and others in the company. I analyse this data and send out my findings weekly. I also manage my own category within Currys discussing HTK (Soundbar), meeting with the merchandisers weekly. I also manage a marketing agency with our John Lewis stores.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I felt as a student I was treated more than just that. I was given my own things to manage, I was involved in decision making, managing accounts, agencies and the reports. I was involved in a hands on role, and did feel lucky and trusted.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have enjoyed my placement to a large extent, I have gotten to work with a variety of people in a variety of sectors in the company. I have learnt so much and grown in confidence. My team have been amazing and I genuinely wouldn't change a thing.
