Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

The role involves working with the clients and local authorities to mediate the planning of a development. The team will incorporate you into their day to day and provide you with opportunity and insight into the work involved in planning. Working with a wide variety of projects each with their own unique aspects to them.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given many tasks which had significance in the wider project. All the jobs worked on were important.

Savills is a consultancy, so you are constantly working with people as well as working with a team. My ability to communicate and work with people has been worked on significantly. Time management is also very important at Savills.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

This work experience was a huge experience and very insightful. The opportunity and scope provided gave me a really good idea of what day to day work involves in planning which is what I hoped for. The team and wider office were also all very welcoming.
