Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role was titled Assistant HRBP Global Functions. On a day-to-day basis, this involved helping manage 2 talent development projects end to end, pulling employee survey insights and other employee data for the functional leadership and support the functions we partner with their day to day HR queries

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was treated not as an intern but as an integrated part of the team and given opportunities to lead projects end ot end.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learnt a lot of hard and soft skills. In terms of hard skills, I have learnt how to use a lot of novel software such as Visier and Power BI. I have also learnt how to use excel, powerpoint and word. Soft-skills wise, I've learnt project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.

I received a good amount of support. It was a bit hard to get support during busy periods but other times, I had good support.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed it a lot, especially towards the end when I was given the autonomy to do my tasks the way I wanted to and give input on our outcomes and goals.
