Supply Chain Industrial Placement Student Review

My placement with Unilever was a fantastic learning, development, and networking period. There are too many opportunities to count where I could divulge myself in topics and projects that interested me, growing my professional network and learning from different individuals, both internally and externally.

Each role including my own, comes with the responsibility of delivering projects, tasks, and documents and these are used in the business according to particular needs.

Use of PowerBI, SAP, PowerApps, Figma, and other tools.
Stakeholder management,

The support received was great. Being such a large company you might need to be more intentional when looking for particular information as people tend to have their own particular niches/ pockets of expertise.

Unilever is a great company to work for that is people-centered and is concerned about the purpose and how we are driving the world to a better place. The work culture is one where you can ask questions, and request guidance and honestly, people in the company are great.

I enjoyed my placement it was an opportunity to take responsibility for my work that would be used within different departments and have real-life applications and consequences. My colleagues were great and made coming to work (though a new discipline I had to maintain) a joy.
