What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
People are very open and willing to help you especially being a placement student, I have learnt a lot from catch-ups with people which shaped my interests
There wasn't a lot of hierarchy in the company, even the head of department or people in the leadership team, they are still willing to help the younger generation

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Overall, I had an enjoyable placement year at GSK. I had a lot of first-times and faced challenges that I had never encountered. My skills were developed significantly, and I would recommend anyone to take a placement year.

What advice would you give to others applying to GSK
Don't be afraid to ask questions. Enjoy your placement year and say yes to opportunities, you never know what you will get out of it.
GSK also doesn't offer graduate offers to placement students, though you get fast-tracked (without having to do the World of GSK assessment) when applying to their grad roles.
