Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As an Electronics and Software Intern at British American Tobacco, I engage in designing and developing electronic systems and software solutions. My daily tasks involve coding, testing, and debugging software, alongside creating and analyzing CAD models for mechanical components. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software, contributing to innovative product development and efficient system performance.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given significant responsibility during my internship at British American Tobacco. I was entrusted with designing and implementing key components of electronic systems, developing software solutions, and creating CAD models for mechanical parts. My role required me to manage projects independently, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate closely with various teams to ensure successful integration and performance of our products.

The support provided throughout my placement, from the beginning to end, was incredible as due to working as a software and electrical individual my supervisors and team members were always available to assist with technical challenges and provide valuable feedback.
