Product Developer Review

My overall role was to be a product developer in creating the new magnums that will be launched. My day to days roles were sourcing new material, technical measurements to help validate the product, sending off parcels, quality measurements and running ice cream production trials.

I was given quite a lot or responsibilities in terms of creating new specs for the products I've been working on. communicating with important suppliers, and processing + presenting data to the wider team.

I've learnt a lot of new technical skills like using new soft wear and operating machinery. Personal skills has allowed me to develop my team working skills, interpersonal skills, time management and organisation skills. Made me home in on the importance of how to prioritise my task with working on multiple topics.

I felt like at the beginning of my placement I wasn't given much guidance. A lot I had to work out myself but this helped me learn to develop more. As I wasn't told in too much detail what my role would involve.

Got on well with everyone in the team they were all very welcoming and friendly to me.

I did enjoy it and felt I benefited with it greatly, but through doing this placement has made me realised this isn't the time of career I want to go into. But my doing this placement has allowed me to find out what I do and don't like more in this field.
