Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My days in my Design, Digital and Social team role were never the same! My key responsibilities included supporting our top 15 Key Design Markets and their packaging designs, crafting social media posts for differing markets, and curating key brand strategies. I also interact daily with the Global Director and weekly with the global brand Vice President. I also manage our team's budget.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes! I was given huge amounts of responsibility and my own projects to lead myself.

I've learnt so many new skills it's hard to list them all! Key ones include communication, management, confidence, stakeholder management, budget management, project management, digital and social marketing to name a few.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Future Careers were good at knowing there was support for us, but all of my support and guidance came from my line manager. Manpower from an HR perspective were not very supportive and communications were unclear, confusing and their email responses were very delayed and also very unhelpful.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

My team had a great culture and atmosphere, very supportive and everyone is willing to help you across the whole company and are willing to take time to educate you and talk to you as if you are equal to them. You aren't treated like an intern.
