Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Daily tasks involved attending meetings and replying to emails, as well as managing situations wherever I was named as the PoC. In a few months I was given additional responsibilities which included leading a number of key meetings on a daily basis during key phases in the projects, starting under supervision but soon being allowed to make decisions on my own. Aside from that I was encouraged to upskill myself and build connections which I have done so

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, especially during the first 6 months of my placement I was given quite a lot of responsibilities that I had specifically asked for. This was immensely helpful in growing me as a person and my skills. It was amazing to see the level of confidence and trust that was put into me, whilst simultaneously being reminded that it was okay if I made mistakes as long as I was putting myself out there.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Amazing. People are really open to being approached, are all friendly and welcoming, and the culture around accessibility for disabilities was very comforting to see.
