Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Coordinate with organisers globally to deploy fundamental marketing learning programmes. Write standard communications and assist with communicating with participants, organisers and facilitators. Organising a marketing learning programme for UK participants by booking venues, facilitators and and assisting with participants needs. Drive awareness of our marketing programmes by campaigning to get marketers upskilled. Monitoring the teams email inbox to make sure the right questions are answered by the right people. Doing any AdHoc tasks that my manager gives me.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I have been given a lot of responsibility during my placement and it came at the right time when I was ready. I have been leading my own learning programme and have been in charge of making sure that I check that everything is running smoothly globally.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have developed a lot of new skills including, time management, knowing what to prioritise and problem solving skills. Knowing what to prioritise is a large company where there are always multiple projects going on has been a very important skill to develop. I have developed upon my soft skills as well a big one being my communication and how I communicate with different people.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I have been given a lot of support and guidance through out my placement, my manager has always been a phone call away and always helps me when I need it. My whole team are also very supportive for whenever I have a problem.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture can be very intense as a lot of the time tasks are needed to be done ASAP and not have any mistakes however, my manager and team have always made sure to make sure that the atmosphere is not too intense throughout my time and they always make sure to keep the atmosphere a positive one.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have really enjoyed my placement. There were low times but that has been when I didn't feel useful, as soon as I got into the job and was given more responsibility and was able to make my work count it has made the placement a lot more enjoyable. I have had an amazing team who have supported me and become my friends which has made going to the office and working from home have an element of fun. There are also so many other placement students within the company that made my time here even more enjoyable.

Everyone else applying to the company at this level doesn't really know what they are doing so just be yourself and try your hardest that is all you can do.
