Safety, Health & Environment Innovation Engineer Review

My day consists of usually meetings to discuss projects, team updates and progress check ins. In between meetings, I continue completing projects and organising presentations.

Since the beginning of my placement, they have given me a large amount of responsibility. This was done by allowing me to create necessary resources for the team and pushing me to take ownership of projects and resources.

I've developed in numerous skills, such as; presenting, working well in a team, leadership, efficiency, communication in a global team, technology scouting, Power BI DAX, project management, event organisation and networking.

My colleagues have been helpful and endearing, by giving their time to provide mentoring for me. My manager is also very open in tailoring things to fit my needs and is extremely caring. They want me to achieve my goals and have made room to provide me with what I need for my personal development.

Everyone is super welcoming and approachable. The safety culture is embedded throughout the company and people make time for others. The company is also generous and puts the wellbeing of the employees as a priority.

Thoroughly enjoyed my placement, it's been an amazing opportunity to push me to grow in a nurturing environment. It has made me feel settled in, which will make it difficult to leave
