Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Each day was spent with my supervisor sat in my specifically allocated department. Would carry out different tasks to learn about the daily workings carried out there.
In the evenings different social events were planned so that we could get to know other people within the vacation scheme cohort and also other members of the firm.
Talks were arranged with senior partners to hear about their journeys at the firm.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was great to learn about progression opportunities at the firm. I am so excited to start as a trainee solicitor.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I learnt a lot about the work carried out by a competition lawyer as well as within the different departments we had talks on. This included learning about international capital market work, banking and corporate.
It was great to learn more about the firms up and coming merger with the US firm.
