The day began with an insightful presentation, which set the tone for the rest of the programme. The discussion about Fieldfisher being market leaders in data and privacy showcased the firm's expertise and innovative approach to complex legal issues. His personal journey and decision to specialize in tax litigation provided aspiring legal professionals like myself with valuable insights into the diverse career paths available within the legal domain. Furthermore, his emphasis on Fieldfisher's values, particularly its commitment to inclusivity and diversity, highlighted the firm's dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Following that presentation, Partner provided a glimpse into "The Hive," the section of the firm dedicated to socials and societies. Another presentation on "The Pride Network" further emphasized Fieldfisher's commitment to supporting LGBTQ employees, showcasing the firm's dedication to diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
From attending Fieldfishers First Steps Programme I believe my ability to network has been heavily enhanced, from the break out networking sessions with trainees, to the pizza marking to conclude day one, there were countless opportunity's to enhance once networking ability.
Further to the above, I had my commercial awareness tested and enhanced through a rigorous case study task. Once we had examined the case study, we presented our findings in front of a panel of partners, to which my group was met with positive and constructive feedback - in which I embraced and have since built upon.
