Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The insight programme was one a week experience allowing the students to get insight in the field that they have applied for. During the week we given departmental overviews in planning, investing, surveying, building consultancy and Savills Earth, my responsibilities consist of gathering data for proposed projects, evaluating data to help clients make informed decisions and conducting reviews on statutory requirements.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Throughout the week I have developed the ability to compile evidence, summarising them in order for clients to make informed decisions, work on my Microsoft office skills to efficiently present data in a professional manner. Adding on through departmental overviews I was able to improve my commercial awareness.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The general atmosphere was very welcoming in my opinion each member in each team are easy going allowing for a rapport to be easily made. This factor helped me to ease and get to understand what Savills is like as a business.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
To a large extent, it was informative and the insight has in a way unlocked my mind in terms of innovation, when looking at real estate projects I now have a different view point towards it. I now look at workers within the industry with amazement due to being exposed to the workload during my week
