Residential Valuation Review

I worked with a mentor who took me along to various residential inspections. I was then explained the task of how to value a residential building and worked alongside my mentor to achieve this. At the end of the week, I sat down with my mentor and director to go through my work and how I had achieved my results. There was various general events through the HR team alongside the other insight inters, such as networking opportunities with the grads, departmental overview presentations and networking with directors.

There were a lot of departmental interviews and everyone was very happy to introduce to various teams if there was interest. We were also given the chance to network with different grads and ask about their experiences in different teams. The HR department was happy to signpost to different teams and encouraged us to stay in contact.

The team was based in different places due to an office move. You are limited to the teams in your building and dont really get to speak to teams based in other offices. There were no networking events with the wider company in general, making it hard to talk to different people unless you specifically expressed that there was a certain team you were interested in. Everyone is really friendly and the HR department is very accommodating. We also had the opportunity for a Q&A with the CEO.

I enjoyed it to a large extent. I learnt a lot about the company and my teams responsibilities and would recommend to anyone looking in the industry because there are a lot of departments that you could join.
