Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The session was an overview of Amazon that provided valuable insights into the company's values, mission, and employee experiences. The attendees were introduced to the company and some of its female employees who shared their experiences as software engineers or product managers. The session also included a hackathon with challenges of varying levels of difficulty, followed by a discussion panel with female software engineers sharing their insights and experiences at Amazon.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The discussion panels and 'day in the life' sections provided me with insights into the potential roles that Amazon offers in a range of departments. It was very insightful and I learnt alot.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
As this was a virtual event- there was no necessary feel but the hosts were very friendly and the employees who shared their insights were passionate about what they do.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed the insights but did struggle largely with the hackathon. Probably because I have not coded in a while. The hackathon reminded me that practice is crucial!
