Business Analyst Review

As a Business Analyst, I am at the forefront between business needs and technical solutions. Engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including both business and technical teams with developing requirements across various projects. Employing a range of elicitation techniques & documenting requirements in Business Analysis formats. In addition to requirement gathering, I take on roles in process mapping and improvement initiatives. My role extends to supporting a broad customer base, both internally and externally, by delivering services to meet their needs

During my placement/internship, I was given significant responsibility, leading various projects and presenting to senior stakeholders. As well as this I was able to take part in a range of early career groups which are available this included being part of an Early Careers Sustainability team.

Throughout my placement, I have expanded a diverse set of skills. These include problem-solving and analytical thinking, process mapping and analysis, familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adaptability, and proficiency in data analysis, effective collaboration, and Project Management skills. Additionally, I have deepened my understanding of the Business Analysis industry and methodologies. Furthermore, I have significantly enhanced my independent working and problem-solving capabilities, while also gaining valuable experience in navigating a professional environment successfully.

I had access to extensive support networks and built strong connections with peers in the early careers cohort, a graduate mentor, and received plentiful opportunities to learn from my direct team. Also within the there are great opportunities to speak to a range of people including senior management.

The company culture was friendly & welcoming, creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. It provided excellent opportunities for networking and connecting with fellow early careers cohort, while also offering valuable insights into various functions across the organisation. As well as this I had a very supportive and friendly team.

My experience at Boeing during my placement has been incredibly rewarding. I have had the opportunity to collaborate with a range of individuals and engage in a variety of projects, which have significantly contributed to my professional growth. The supportive environment at Boeing has allowed me to develop and refine my skills while providing guidance whenever needed. I wholeheartedly endorse pursuing a placement at Boeing to others. The placement has been an invaluable opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during my degree to real-world scenarios within a commercial setting. Something I have really enjoyed is the great opportunities to attend a range of conferences and site visits which have been very insightful.
