Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
I was assigned a buddy within the firm, and I spent several hours with him throughout the programme. I was able to shadow him for a couple of hours, seeing what an analyst actually does during the day. I also listened to many talks about Lazard's divisions, which all had extensive Q&A sessions. We also spent a significant amount of time on our group project, which was a presentation on a proposed divestiture.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was so insightful - I've been interested in investment banking for years, but I realised during the spring that I never really fully understood it. But after this programme, i feel like i have a genuine understanding of the analyst role throughout the different divisions, and it really excites me.
