Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Throughout the week we took part in a variety of workshops focusing on technical training and soft skills such as networking. In addition, there were numerous talks by people in different sectors of the bank. Finally, we concluded the insight programme with a networking event.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

There were many insightful talks about potential roles available; a lot of information was provided that I wouldn't have necessarily discovered otherwise. The opportunity for questions at the end always helped us become more informed about the skills required and day-to-day work at the company and I now have more of an idea as to where I could look to go into.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The office had a friendly, welcoming environment from the first day. All the employees we interacted with were helpful and willing to answer any questions we may have.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I have really enjoyed the insight programme; it is a different experience to anything I have done before; all the staff and spring interns were friendly and it has been a great way to meet new people and create new connections.
