Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
A range of talks from professionals in the bank, specialising in the global banking business. Dedicated training from train the street based on valuation techniques commonly used in banking. Networking session with bankers and opportunities to ask questions throughout the week.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was very insightful and inspiring to hear about the various teams and opportunities in the bank. It was also good to hear specifically from representatives from multiple teams which gave me a better idea of where I see myself working in the future.

I have developed my technical knowledge through the training from training the street. I particularly improved my knowledge of the different valuation techniques used in investment banking.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was very friendly. All the other interns were kind and I got on with them well. Everyone at the bank was open to questions and happy to help

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed the insight event at BNP Paribas and I would recommend it to anyone that was interested in finance. I learned a lot in a short space of time and I enjoyed meeting the people at the bank and my fellow interns.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BNP Paribas
Come to the program ready to learn and with an open mind. Make the most of the training material as it is very well made and easy to understand, it would be very hard to find something of similar quality without paying. Try to network as much as you can as it is a great opportunity to learn about the bank
