Associate Review

I´m an associate in Grow by SAP, a program designed to equip scaleups with technology and provide resources to help power growth.
We offer participating companies a cloud solution package as a free subscription for up to six months, supported by a dedicated Customer Success Manager: Powering Tomorrow, Today. Alongside this is a support pillar for growth opportunities.
I work in several business areas since my role is significantly flexible - Working from Marketing, in social media management, support of communications campaigns, and internal promotion; to Sales & Operations, in the organization of internal sales events, support in sales techniques as well as responsible for business unit Operations; thus an overall role of business development.

I was given a significant amount of responsibility during my placement year.
In the middle of my internship, I joined a program (which at the time was only a project) which is now my full-time role. Since the program was just starting when I joined, there was a lot to be done. That gave me the opportunity to really pursue my interests in Marketing & Business Development, and the team put the trust in me of working alongside them as an equal (even though I didn´t even have half of their accumulated experience in the business & industry).

I was able to learn several skills such as problem-solving, sales skills, social media management, web design, content creation, and business development approaches. Not only that, but I was also able to apply some of the skills that I really earned from my professional background prior to my current role. Once an intern onboards SAP, he/she will have a dedicated placement team that will manage your onboarding, but more importantly, will support you throughout the year of placement. I can state that this team was there for me and my peers at all times, and that even the hardship that the pandemic brought us by switching all operations and work to virtual didn´t stop the great work of the placements team in SAP in the UK
