Commercial Business Associate Review

On a day to day basis this role consists of getting contracts signed and assisting the Commercial team with contract drafting. Helping others in the business, such as sales, with commercial related questions or issues. Additionally there are many other tasks which arise that are less frequent.

I was given a lot of responsibility including ensuring all deals are booked by midnight at the end of a quarter to allow SAP to recognise the revenue for that quarter. I have also had the responsibility or reviewing and approving quotes as well as many other forms of responsibility.

I have developed many skills including:

Working with a wide range of individuals
Analytical skills

I received a huge amount of support and guidance during my internship. The Commercial Team have been incredibly supportive and always on hand to answer any questions and give any help. They also pushed me to learn more and develop my skills and confidence in many areas of the role.

The company culture is lovely with everyone being very supportive and willing to help one another. As there is a large intern cohort each year all of the employees are used to working with interns, meaning that they treat you like a usual employee but also give help and support where needed. Everyone pushes individuals to develop in the areas that they wish to and helps to provide opportunities for this.

Unfortunately Covid meant that my placement was done working from home, so social opportunities were limited. However the team and whole company have been so welcoming and inclusive and gone out of their way to ensure that working from home did not negatively impact my experience. I have loved the team that I have been working with and the opportunities for learning and development which I have been given. I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement.
