Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Assisted my line manager with some very large insurance claims for damage that occurred on estates that we manage from Storm Arwen. Managed all of the properties on the estates that we manage in North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Renewed and granted grazing licences, cropping licences and tenancy agreements to local farmers.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I got given projects to carry out myself but there was support there if I needed it. This allowed me to develop my own ideas.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Improved my IT skills, including using Land App for mapping.
Communication skills have improved as I have been communicating with contractors for projects on estates and communicated with farm and residential tenants very frequently, this then made my confidence grow as well.

Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to Savills
That if you hear feedback from one office it doesn't reflect every Savills office as everyone has very different experiences across the different offices and departments.
