Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Owning a product and its lifecycle start to end.
Main objective, aside from ensuring continuity of product, is how to maximise product revenue & profits.
This included researching competitors, where we sit in the market compared to them, how to compete against them, and what projects can we invest in to ensure we do well over the next years.
There are project management aspects as well, in addition to resource allocation.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given full autonomy, with oversight from my manager just in case things went south.

Not too much, my manager's style was more "let him try and figure out how to swim, and if he starts drowning, I'll save him".

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Loved it greatly.
While remote work and me not being in London did reduce my socialising options, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and with the people I did meet, create strong bonds.
