Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I would compile information about the study abroad application process, contacting current study abroad students, creating instagram posts with this information to post on a regular basis.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes - I was the main person controlling the instagram during this job so was responsible for making sure the posts were appropriate, accessible, interesting and relevant!

Yes - social media and creativity skills in creating instagram posts, interpersonal skills in working with a new team and contacting students and other colleagues, time management in managing this job alongside my final year studies (which included prioritisation).

It was was friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed working with the team and would definitely have continued if I was given the choice!

Make the most of all of the opportunities that arise! Reach out to the academics and university staff and get to know what goes on behind the scenes. If you don't ask you don't get, and everyone started as a Fresher so they know how it feels!! People want to help if they know how to.
