Shopper Marketing Executive Review

As a shopper marketeer, I was responsible for leading Waitrose account media planning and execution as well as worked in ad hoc fashion on other retailers such as Sainsburys,Co-Op and Asda. I had to use shopper insights and data to work on holistic campaign planning and execution - focusing on NPD launches, driving feature and promo as well as retailer agendas.
Other part of my role was FSDU production for UK.

Yes - I had full autonomy of my account and was the key decision maker about 4 weeks into my placement.

I have strongly developed my interpersonal skills - learned how to flex my style using the colour energies theory and had loads of trainings on persuasion , negotiation etc.
I have also developed my budget planning skills , critical thinking and creative problem solving.

I had very thorough support from my LM during my placement - we had weekly calls and she was always a message away when I needed anything. I also was mentored by another member of my team with frequent catch ups every week.
The HR team also put together loads of compulsory and voluntarily training sessions which have been incredibly useful

Incredible company culture - emphasis on taking a break. We had wellbeing Wednesdays during the winter months , where you get 2 hours every Wed lunch time to do things you love and Summer Friday afternoons free to log off early.
Everyone are incredibly kind and helpful and the overall culture is amazing. Unilever has really set the bar high.

I have absolutely loved my placement - the role, the culture and the people. I would absolutely love to come back to Unilever as a graduate and have actually been fast tracked to the assessment centre as few luck IP's. Really great experience.
