Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Worked on writing code in Kotlin for the Capital one Android app. Worked as part of the team and attended daily standup meetings.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes a fair amount as my intern project that I worked on was pushed into the live capital one app.

Support and guidance was good. Always had a mentor whenever I needed some help that I could talk to.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

It was decent. I could have learnt more and the intern project itself could have been more challenging. Also was faced with many blockers during the internship which wasted a lot of time. However that made me experience a realistic life of a software engineer.
