Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
It was similar to an internal business consultant. I was given a project about the acquisition side of the business and then 8-10 weeks to work on it and complete my analysis. Then I had to present my findings and final recommendation to a director.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given full ownership of my project and by the end of the internship I likely knew the most about the subject.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes a lot of new skills. Presentation skills, SQL, Python, understanding GitHub. Additionally a lot of training about how various aspects of the credit card industry.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was given a buddy, mentor and manager to help me out with my internship. They were all extremely nice and supportive and could help me out with any questions I asked. Additionally I could ask any member of the team and they’d always stop to answer me which was very kind.

Everyone was very nice and supportive. Nobody was rude and put too much pressure on me
