Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Assisted directors with property management for various properties in and around London. I attended client meetings, tenant meetings, visited site and used to draw up various reports.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, although I always had my director/associate director to guide me, I was given sole responsibility of certain aspects of property management. For example, I was responsible for the ESG and sustainability strategy for certain clients, instructing the installation of new equipment and liaising with tenants

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, I definitely developed my interpersonal skills through meetings with clients and tenants. Towards the end of my placement I also began to advise tenants. I also learnt how to use excel which I used on a daily basis to draw up reports.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
A lot. I had support from my line manager but also people in the wider property manager teams. I benefited from being in a big graduate/placement cohort where we all lent on eachother

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very sociable and all staff treated you as an equal and were happy to help with whatever I needed. I quickly got to know most people in the company and believe I will take these relationships forward in my career
