Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I would first start with admin work of looking at emails and focusing on what tasks to work on today as well as checking schedule to see meetings and appointments that I would have. Then calling clients, attending client meetings, training sessions, meetings with fellow colleagues, intern events, and calling competitions as well as phantom tickets and PD calls.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

We were given responsibility of our intern projects as well as with clients during calls and visits/meetings with the clients. But also, some of the days were not scheduled and you had to schedule your own day with meetings, networking, calling, and visits, as there were minimum KPIs to meet.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

We received a lot of support and guidance, from learning about finance concepts and Bloomberg products, we had a training session with teachers where we were able to ask questions but also everyone was very open to answer any questions we had throughout the entire internship.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture was very open, collaborative, and very professional but very supportive and the help was amazing. Everyone is open to help and is open to assist you in any way.
