Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Intern role involves 3 days in Sales and 2 days in analytics. Sales consists of attending client meetings to help build relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and training clients on terminal functionality. Analytics involves extensive training on financial markets and terminals, and practicing answering client questions, as well as calling clients to pitch functionalities.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

While we were given some responsibility, a lot of the jobs for analytics and sales require more extensive training than the one we had time to receive - but we were given freedom to talk with clients extensively throughout which was good.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

To a high extent, especially because of the culture and social opportunities provided to network, as well as the training provided which increased my knowledge and skillset greatly.
