Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

In sales we were working on project as well as calling clients. In analytics we were given a technical training. It helped us to learn more about Bloomberg products as well as different asset classes.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes. We were involved in numerous project where we had all the responsibility.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

1. Communication skills. We were able to network a lot during the internship, therefore I ended up learning how to communicate with people across different departments.
2. Technical skills. We had classes on asset classes such as FI or FX. Therefore my financial understanding increased over the course of the internship.
3. Personal skills. I evolved as a person and became more formed as a person.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

A lot. We had mentors and managers who helped me whenever we asked for it. There ere really involved during the internship and did everything they could for us to succeed.
