Designing software systems, participating in team meetings and collaborating with the broader organisation, executing the design through programming
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I guided a lot of the project and was trusted by my TL and mentor on decisions. I could also make decisions that impacted things outside my project in the team.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I improved technical skills such as C++ programming, object-oriented design and testing, as well as learning new practices around security and GraphQL. With regard to designing software, I have much more experience in real-life large systems now. I also learnt to evaluate the business and engineering needs of the organisation to guide my development approach.
