Accounting/Finance Intern Review

Overall the role was supporting and working alongside members of the team I was assigned to - this means completing projects they're working on, attendance at meetings/ making meeting notes and shadowing various team members.
Day to day this could be organising data, researching data, working on excel or making a presentation.

Yes - I was given actual tasks that the team was working on and I would often see the direct impact of the work given to me.

I have learnt excel and presentation skills just through daily work and meetings.
I have also learnt about teamwork, networking and general people skills due to the exposure of new people and senior leadership teams just throughout the internship.
I have grown in confidence and ability to express myself due to encouragement from my team.

Legal and General do an impeccable job at supporting interns.
My manager and team were in constant contact with me to ensure I was handling tasks okay as well as having enough time to network with other teams and interns.
My buddy was amazing at being supportive and informative.
Genuinely anyone and everyone is willing to talk, answer questions and offer guidance to interns - it's a very welcoming culture.

The culture was so lovely and genuinely welcoming. Anyone would find the time to talk and offer career advise as well as chat about what their job looks like and how they got there. I couldn't recommend it enough to any interns with limited exposure to the corporate world who want guidance when joining. The supportive environment makes the transition from student life to working life very seamless.

It was incredibly enjoyable! The work life balance is so amazing and everyone was so kind. It was super valuable to me and for learning about my career and what kind of a place I want to work for.
