Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I worked within the team to supply clients with planning advice regarding sites that they were considering purchasing or had bought. We focused on what schemes would work on which pieces of land and the viability of the scheme.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, but supervised. I knew all my work would be benefitial to the client and the planning process but was ensured it would all be double checked. Savills provided the right amount of responsibility of daily tasks/working on projects but made sure I wasn't overwhelmed or at maximum capacity.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
All the team were involved within my placement - from the team admin to the top directors. My grad mentor was great at focusing on what I needed to cover in my time at Savills and how the work will benefit me in the long run.
The whole team continued to give me informal feedback on every piece of work I was involved in as well as inputting appraisals to give me formal feedback on improvements I could make.
