Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I usually was given tasks by my line manager, every few days, these tasks would usually support them in their role. These mostly required my using a lot of excel.
I would then attend all the team meetings, and some individual ones with my manager. Most weeks there were intern calls with everyone, and these would usually be around different areas of the business. Then we also had a final presentation to prepare for.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I did not have a massive amount of work throughout my internship, however everything I was given had a clear business impact so I felt like it made a difference.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have developed my excel skills, my presentation skills and preparing a PowerPoint presentation.
Also adapting to working in an office environment, in a team that has a specific way of doing everything.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Most of the support I received was from my line manager, they would set the tasks then they were available form any questions or if I needed to got though the task.
