Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Assist in market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Support the commercial team in executing various campaign to enhance acquisition and retention.
Suggested improvements to current partnerships and how we can increase sales and revenue.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes! I had the freedom to navigate and choose what kind of projects I wanted to work on. Not only that, I was also allowed to approach the projects in my personal style which allowed me to enjoy these more.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have sharpened my excel skills, learnt how a corporate company functions between their business units. I developed my presentation and communication skills that allows me manage stakeholders effectively. I have also increased my commercial awareness of the energy industry and its importance in the future.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received tremendous support while working here! My managers would always check up on me and have weekly 1 to 1 meetings to give me an hour of question opportunity. I could always ask a question and receive a thorough answer the same hour. When I was stuck, I would also get guidance on how to proceed in the best way possible. Loved the support.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very inclusive and positive working environment. I felt that I was working with a family or friends. No judgements in the office, very nice people who are more than happy to help even if you don't know them. I also saw all the company's values implemented by the staff and the broader team. Definitely a place I would live to work at in the future.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Absolutely loved it! I think that this was the best working experience so far. I felt like I was part of a great cause to change the world for the better.
