Finance Summer Intern Review

Focussing on PH Jones OPEX, through communication with different colleagues across the business, analysing and complying the information to give manager and wider team a greater understanding of the costs in the business. Work aligned with PH Jones strategic objectives to gain a better understanding of its operations, and from that, identifying any risks and opportunities for the business.

I was given adequate amounts of responsibility, especially in terms of delivering the work associated with my project.

Excel skills have been sharpened through its extensive use. Gained a more comprehensive understanding of Centrica and the wider energy industry, with the key take away being learning more about how to work more flexibly by adapting to different problems that arises day to day and accountability, understanding the knock-on effect of how your work/ actions affect your wider team.

Support and guidance was given when asked for it. people are usually quite helpful and more than happy to help, even if you approach them as an intern.

Great company culture, flexi-first approach of working really nice. Company culture on the more relaxed side with good general atmosphere in the office.

Quite enjoyed in internship, especially coming into a blue-chip company with little experience working in a office environment, being able to come in and contribute to a project that benefits the wider team was really nice to be a part of.
