Yes, I was given a lot of responsibility within my role and was treated like a permanent team member - was always asked for my opinion on concepts which made me feel hugely included within my team. I was given the responsibility of completing projects that had a real impact on engineers and saw how my work was directly impacting them in a physical sense. I also had the opportunity to create my own business case.

I have developed my data analytical skills immensely and learnt how to create advanced excel reports. I also learnt new functions from Power BI and got the opportunity to complete courses to advance my technical skills. I have developed my confidence especially within my presentation skills has increase hugely by getting exposure to presentation training. I learnt commercial awareness by being treated like a permanent team member, attending all meetings and outputting my opinions.

I was given a huge amount of support from a range of people within my internship. Our early careers team was always around consistently helping and supporting us whenever we would need it. We had specific graduate managers and a graduate buddy who gave us more role specific advice allowing us to feel we can ask them whatever we are stuck with. My line manager was hugely supportive and was patient while I learnt things.

Company culture is really inclusive and is a very positive environment to thrive in especially as a intern. Everyone is always happy to help, supportive and actually care for your career growth. From the very beginning we were felt to be included and was a great place to increase commercial awareness and kickstart your career.

I hugely enjoying completing my summer internship at Centrica, was given lots of opportunities to network and increase my commercial skills. The early careers team put a lot of effort in to ensure the interns are comfortable and thrive within the 9 weeks here. We were given a graduate buddy to also make sure we are ok and get the most out of our internship too.
