My role consisted of doing frequent desk research and data handling with my team as well as using PowerPoint to make slides

I received a lot of support and guidance throughout the placement not only from my team but also from the early careers team and the graduate talent managers.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture was great, I had a healthy work-life balance throughout the placement. The working hours were somewhat flexible and I was not expected to work over time. The people I worked with and the other interns were also really welcoming and supportive so I did not at any point feel excluded.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed my placement to a great extent. I have learned a lot about the company and the energy industry along with the skills needed in this sector. For the analyst stream we had some development opportunities but it would have been nicer to have a few more. The placement was structured well - I did not feel too overwhelmed at any point and deadlines were spread out. I was also able to build good relations with the other interns and the people I worked with.
