Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team of three we spent most days researching and evaluating opportunities for an energy hub. We generated a report and presentation to showcase our findings to stakeholders. Alongside day-to-day tasks we attended site visits and workshops throughout the placement.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was assigned a very self-directed project with a broad project scope allowing my group to decide which direction to take it in. We were also given a lot of autonomy with structuring our working day and the work we were given added significant value to the business.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received an overwhelming amount of support from both my line manager and graduate buddy through daily check-ins and weekly 1:1's. In these meetings I felt open to share honest feedback and my managers genuinely cared about how I was coping with the workload and were happy to review this if I was struggling.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company has a very positive workplace culture and everyone in the business was very supportive and welcoming. There is a very clear focus on collaboration and care for each colleague and personal development of employees was an obvious priority for the company.
