Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Some days involved sessions scheduled by the trainee recruitment scheme including practice overview talks, talks about diversity, equity and inclusion and insights into the training contract process.
Tasks involved assessed projects set by trainee recruitment, alongside tasks set by your principal in your seat.
Daily interactions with principal, trainee buddy and other vac scheme students

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Really interesting to understand the range of roles available and I found out about roles which I previously didn't know much about, such as knowledge lawyers.

I have developed an understanding how different practice areas work within the law firm, how a firm might pitch to clients and developed a greater understanding of how to understand where a particular firm might fit in to the market.
