Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

We received overview talks from the different practice groups, engaged in contract review tasks for a mock deal, had a client pitch exercise whilst we sat in one seat with an associate to see what daily life is like.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

I thought it was very useful to get such a broad insight into every major area that Linklaters focuses on but also to see how they are developing their business and why they have chosen certain routes.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I learnt how to communicate complex matters clearly across multiple different platforms and in person. I also developed my teamwork skills through time pressured exercises that forces you to work collaboratively with each other.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

It was a very friendly atmosphere with everyone being very willing to give you their time to have a chat about what they do and why they chose this certain route. I think the people is definitely one of the best things about Linklaters.
