Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

- Explore the news for new technologies and how to apply them in the corporate world
- Create landing pages using HTML, CSS and Java
- Use creative cloud for creative content such as videos
-Provide support for technical academies for SAP tech such as the Business Technology Platform and CAI
- Run design thinking sessions
- Build prototypes connecting to SAP system using IOT
- Create interactive online models
- Become part of the core team of app and its development

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, the trust is very much put in your hands from the get go! You feel you're immediately part of the wider team with meaningful assignments building and creating not only your future but having an active hand in SAPs development

I have learnt new coding skills such as Swift, HTML, CSS and Javascript, Angular and the usage of Github, Security measures when app developing.
I have developed to assess problems and provide solutions in the moment.
Furthered my communications skills, time managements skills.
Learned skills in Illustrator, Adobe Animate, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects.
Furthered skills in Raspberry Pi and Ardunios

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed my placement really much, couldn't fault it even if I tried. Evidently in a pandemic its harder to run a placement with such highly valuable work, inclusivity and support but SAP managed that and more. Thank you to the team, I would definitely return in a heart beat!
