Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
- Doing TV calcs and calculating the liabilities for insured pensioners.
- Using different Excel spreadsheets to find information on different schemes.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a good amount of responsibility, being able to take on real client work and have access to the schemes to work on a job for them.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I learnt a lot of Excel shortcuts which would be useful to use in the future as well as learning how to use a new software, Power BI. I have also developed my communication skills, being able to comfortably talk to senior members in a professional setting. I have developed my problem solving skills when calculating the different TVs or SORPs.

I received a good amount of support, everyone in the team and company were more than happy to help when I had questions and have always helped me in trying to build my network.

Be yourself, everyone is friendly and would like to know who you are as a person and are willing to help you out with any goals you have in mind. Don't be afraid to ask questions as everyone is more than willing to sit down with you to have a chat about your topic of interest.
