I was an intern working on short term and long term projects, using various actuarial tools and writing reports.

Yes I was responsible for writing reports and completing calculations for various clients.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I had initial training sessions on a range of different systems and projects I'd be working on. Everyone in the office is extremely approachable and willing to help. My progress manager was extremely involved in what I was doing and offered constant support.

Everyone is extremely welcoming and friendly in the office, and there was also the occasional social event outside of the office.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed my internship, I felt the experience was valuable and I also enjoyed being a part of the office and getting to know everyone. Days in which I didn't have much assigned work could be slow, but overall I got the opportunity to work almost every different type of project at least once.

What advice would you give to others applying to Isio
When starting out you have to be proactive in both asking for work and asking for help. Some days are busier than others so you have to manage your schedule effectively to ensure you both get work finished on time but also don't run out of things to do.
